All-Star Audition

What is the All-Star process?
The All-Star Band is a special opportunity for young musicians from Parkhill Junior High and North Junior High to shine. Students have been preparing two etudes (or pieces), seven major scales, and a chromatic scale as part of their audition. Students who earn a spot in the All-Star band will join other top musicians from within the Pearce Cluster to rehearse and perform a concert full of amazing music—with only two hours of rehearsal time! Participants have the chance to work with an incredible guest clinician, Mr. Schayot (Pearce Fine Arts Coordinator and Director of Bands) and experience what it’s like to be part of a fast-paced, high-level ensemble. Being chosen as an All-Star Band Member is a distinguished achievement that recognizes outstanding musicianship, dedication, and leadership in the junior high band program.
